Abdul-Hakim Hilal worked as a reporter and News Editor for AL-Sahwa Weekly Newspaper. He was also Executive Director of a local Media and Advertising Company from 2001 – 2002.

 Hilal received his Bachelor's degree in chemical science from faculty sciences-Sana'a University and his Masters in environment and water from Faculty engineer Sana'a University.

 Hilal is a member of the Yemen Journalists Syndicate the Federation of Arab Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists.

He is currently works as Assistant Chief Editor at Al-Masdar newspaper.
