Online training: How to build a news Web site
ICFJ will begin its first online course for Arabic-speaking journalists on April 1. The six-week course will give journalists practical skills on how to think and write for the Web, tell a story online, use audio, photos and video on a Web site, effectively use and create blogs and design practical, credible and attractive Web sites.
The course, “How to Create a News Web Site” will be led by veteran Palestinian journalist and founder of Ammannet radio Daoud Kuttab.
Sponsored by the National Endowment for Democracy, the course is the first of a series of instructor-led online courses from ICFJ. In the coming months, ICFJ will also deliver an investigative reporting course for Arabic-speaking journalists as well as a series of self-directed online modules in business and economic reporting in Persian.
