ICFJ’s “Rebrand” Wins Top Honors for Agency
 |
ICFJ's 2007 Awards Dinner featuring Founders Award recipient and NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw was one of the first public displays of the new brand.
|
The new ICFJ logo and brand, launched in 2007, won the top award from prominent branding organization ReBrand. The design was created by New York branding agency Siegel Gale.
ICFJ's new brand design has been adopted in all communications, from e-mails to letterheads to Web sites.
The 2009 ReBrand 100® Global Awards honors companies whose work is an outstanding example of brand transformation and marketing expertise. ReBrand uses these awards to showcase such work and use it as a model to inspire other strategists and designers in the marketing industry worldwide. This is the second time ReBrand has honored Siegel Gale with this top award.
Siegel Gale focuses on simple yet powerful designs. Creative Director Young Kim describes the new ICFJ look as exactly that, “The new logo is a bold and dynamic reflection of [ICFJ’s] story. Its straightforward use of multicolor letterforms that join to form a perfect cohesive unit is very symbolic.”
"Here was a instance where an organization that was doing such great work was having difficulty getting their story heard,” Kim said. “Through commitment to quality journalistic integrity, ICFJ is really making a positive difference in the world."
Four other companies received the 2009 Best of Awards: international web conferencing company Cisco WebEx, Romanian hardware store Dedeman, non-profit child rights organization Love 146 and German news Web site NZZ Online.
“It’s an honor for ICFJ to be recognized with such a prestigious award out of a wide swath of industries worldwide,” ICFJ Communications Director Dawn Arteaga said. “We took Siegel Gale's recommendation's to heart. As a result, we've had overwhelming success distinguishing our organization around the world."
