Join the Debate

Join thousands of journalists worldwide on ICFJ's International Journalists' Network (IJNet). Take part in this week's discussion question, which asks: "Media Pluralism: Divisive or democratic?"

Use IJNet to connect with your journalist peers, answer discussions and polls, solicit professional training opportunities, post your own questions and even hunt for jobs. While it is not required, you are invited to register and create a profile on IJNet.

The Kay Fanning Visitors Center

More than 80 percent of ICFJ's operating budget goes straight into our programs advancing quality journalism worldwide. What about the remainder of our budget? ICFJ supports journalists worldwide in other ways as well. One of the major services ICFJ offers to international journalists visiting Washington, DC, is the Kay Fanning Visitors Center. Here, journalists can check their e-mails, make phone calls, file stories and, of course, learn more about ICFJ's work in their region of the world by meeting with one of our staff members. ICFJ staff also travel around the world to speak about the importance of our work at media events, conferences, universities and organizations.

The map below depicts the many places that have benefited from the support of ICFJ and its dedicated staff in the last year. To schedule a visit or to hear from ICFJ's experts, please contact Communications Director Dawn Arteaga.
