Adrian Florido

Community Health Reporter

Adrian Florido is the community health reporter at KPCC, Southern California Public Radio in Los Angeles. He reports on the experiences of people and groups outside the mainstream or facing economic, physical, social or cultural barriers to the resources that support healthy communities.

Before joining KPCC, he was a reporter for the public radio collaborative Fronteras Desk. He was based at KPBS in San Diego, where he covered the U.S.-Mexico border, immigration, demographics and culture. From 2009-2011, he was a staff writer at Voice of San Diego, covering neighborhoods, especially underserved communities. Florido earned an undergraduate degree in history at the University of Chicago, where he was news editor at the student newspaper, the Chicago Maroon. He’s a native of California.
