B. DaVida Plummer

B. DaVida Plummer is an assistant professor focusing on broadcast journalism and writing at the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications at Hampton University in Hampton, VA. She will be a fellow at CNBC. A six-time Emmy award winning television news executive, Plummer started as a radio news writer/producer for the CBS Radio Network in Atlanta. She was a launch executive producer for The Chicago Tribunes 24/7 Cable Channel CLTV, executive producer and launch leader for KCOP and KCAL in Los Angeles, executive producer for CNN Headline News in Atlanta, newscasts producer for WTKR in Norfolk, WDSU in New Orleans and WTAE in Pittsburgh, news director at KMIR TV in Palm Springs, Calif.; news operations manager at KUSI in San Diego and executive producer of Good Morning San Diego. Plummer has a bachelors in journalism and a masters in communications from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
