Briar Stewart

Reporter

Briar Stewart is a National Reporter with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She is currently based in Edmonton, Alberta but has reported from across North America. She attended Ryerson University in Toronto, and after graduation, headed west to begin her career as a Video- Journalist. Now, she regularly reports for National radio and television news, as well as for digital platforms.

She speaks Danish and is continually trying to improve her French.

Project Proposal: Stewart plans to give a voice to those directly impacted by maternal health challenges such as women, teachers and doctors in the region. She will follow up on the progress that Canadian foreign aid has made in the affected regions.
