Claritza Jiménez

Jiménez assists in the implementation of ICFJ programs worldwide, with special emphasis on programs for Latin American and Hispanic journalists. Previously, Jiménez worked as a reporting fellow at The Center for Public Integrity, a non-profit investigative journalism organization in Washington, D.C. While working at the Center, Jiménez completed a M.A. in journalism and public affairs at American University's School of Communication as a recipient of a fellowship in investigative journalism. Jiménez has also worked as a news producer at a CBS television station. Jiménez graduated cum laude from The George Washington University with a B.A. in political communication. As an undergraduate, she studied in Brussels and interned at Dow Jones Newswires, MSNBC, Capitol Hill and the U.S. Peace Corps. She is a native of the Dominican Republic and grew up in Miami, Fl. Jiménez is a native Spanish speaker and proficient in French.
