Chavira serves as program officer to various programs at ICFJ.
Before joining ICFJ, she worked at the US Desk of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), India’s apex business chamber. In this role, she represented the interests of Indian business and industry to US government and private sector actors. She also spent a year at the Hudson Institute, as a Research Assistant in the South Asia department, focusing on issues of security, foreign policy, and minority rights.
Chavira graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science and concentration in International Relations. While an undergraduate, she interned with Penn’s Think Tank and Civil Societies program, analyzing the impact of think tanks and NGOs in the Middle East and North Africa.
