Farhana Hussain

Program Intern - Spring 2013

Hussain assists the ICFJ program staff on fellowships and projects, including Knight International Journalism Fellowships. Before joining ICFJ, Hussain served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Denis Sullivan, Director of Middle East Center for Peace, Culture, and Development and Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at Northeastern University. She has also worked at USAID's Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs, Fannie Mae, Student Conservation Association and Health Volunteers Overseas. She currently is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in international affairs with a concentration in Middle East studies from Northeastern University. Hussain is conversant in Spanish and Arabic and has a basic knowledge of Sinhalese and French. She is a native of Washington, D.C.
