Richy Rosario

Editorial Intern/Reporter

I’m a native New Yorker who was born in Queens, but raised in the Bronx. In addition to living in the Bronx, I also lived for two years in the Dominican Republic, which to say the least— was a life changing experience. I become a more independent person because of it and made lifelong friends. Career wise, my goal is to become a journalist mastering the world of print and eventually broadcast journalism, one step at a time. I’ve interned at GlobalGrind.com, Complex magazine and The New York Observer. In time, I hope to get a full-time position as a staff writer for The Village Voice and freelance for a number of different publications. In the meantime, I’m finishing up my bachelors degree in English and psychology with a minor in journalism at The City College of New York, which I’ll earn this May. In my spare time, besides reading magazines, I love to listen to music and go shopping.

Proposal: Focus on HIV/AIDS among LGBTQ community, specifically teenagers of color, in the Bronx, D.C. and NYC.
