Roselyne Sachiti

Features Editor

Roselyne Sachiti is the Features Editor of The Herald, Zimbabwe. She started her career as a junior reporter with the Zimpapers Group (Sunday Mail) in 2003 moving to The Herald as deputy features editor in 2009. She was promoted to Features Editor in October last year.

Sachiti is an International Award Winning Journalist have won the International Christian Organisation of the Media ( ICOM) award for women issues 2013. She has also won the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists UNFPA Domestic Violence Reporter of the Year for 2013 in her home country.

Sachiti has won several other local awards during the course of her career. She is also a mentor under the Women Journalists Mentoring Program jointly implemented in Zimbabwe by the U.S. Embassy and the Humanitarian Information Facilitation Centre (HIFC).

She is also a mentee under the Women In News (Winfra).

Project Proposal: Sachiti will focus on gathering the latest issues on maternal and child health globally and share first-hand experiences with other reporters.
