Siddhartha Dubey is a Knight International Journalism Fellow who has worked as a writer, producer, editor and anchor in the United States, Europe and Asia. He began his career at a community newspaper in London. He went on to work for Visnews, Dow Jones TV, CNBC Asia, Reuters and the Times Group in India. Most recently, he has focused on bringing better standards, professionalism, on-air capabilities and news judgment to India's growing television news industry.
Among the milestones in Dubey's career: In India, he covered general elections, Hindu-Muslim riots, and the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi in the early 1990s. Dubey spent several weeks in Afghanistan after the collapse of the Moscow-backed government in Kabul. He has reported from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Jakarta, Switzerland and Zimbabwe on stories ranging from persecution of Muslims in Burma to the World Economic Forum.
As the lead anchor and senior editor at ET NOW in Mumbai, Dubey was in charge of on-air development, style and quality control for anchors, reporters and in-house financial researchers who appeared on TV. He was also the key driver of the global content partnership ET NOW struck with Reuters Television.
