Olga Belogolova

Olga Belogolova reports on energy and environment policy for National Journal, focusing on how it affects domestic and international politics and economics. She contributes to the Daily, web and magazine and manages the bi-weekly Energy and Environment Insiders Poll. Prior to joining National Journal, Belogolova was the West Coast Editor of Encore Magazine, managing editorial content and new media for the Los Angeles bureau. In 2010, Olga was a finalist in the MySpace Journal World Economic Forum contest. Belogolova holds bachelor’s degrees in Magazine Journalism and European Studies from Boston University. While in college, she spent several months studying British literature and politics at Oxford University, meanwhile writing two chapters of the book UChic: The College Girl’s Guide to Everything. In 2009, she was one of 10 American journalism students selected for the Sixty Years of Friendship Journalism Press Trip to Jordan. Her work has appeared in Encore Magazine, Boston Magazine, OC METRO, OC Family Magazine, and the Atlantic online, among others. Olga was born in Ukraine and is fluent in Russian and French and has a working knowledge of Hebrew and Italian.
