Jamila Trindle

Jamila Trindle is a freelance journalist who has lived in China for the past two years. After spending a year studying Chinese in Shanghai on a fellowship from the Luce Foundation, she moved to Beijing to cover China’s preparations to host the Olympic Games.

This year she has not only covered the Olympics, but also the Sichuan Earthquake and other stories for NPR and other public radio programs. Before coming to China she was an award-winning television reporter for WHYY, the public broadcasting station in Philadelphia.
