We completed another orientation last week, inducting four Fellows into the program: Shu Choudhary (destination India), Tree Elven (destination El Salvador), Kawser Mahmud (destination Bangladesh) and Alex Tizon (destination Philippines). Each brings something unique to the program and to their projects in areas ranging from digital media, media management, broadcast journalism and investigative reporting. They braved a week packed full of information designed to equip them for a year of coaching, mentoring, training and creating new resources. And they withstood an unusually cold week in Washington, D.C.; the thermometer was stuck around 30 F (-1).Those Fellows who chose to hang around the East Coast for the weekend were treated to a late-winter snowstorm. We're looking forward to working with the new Fellows when they begin their assignments in the next few months.
