Training the Next Generation of Malian Media Professionals

Meet the 2016 Malian Fellows

In partnership with the U.S. State Department, the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) brought four Malian journalists to the United States for a professional internship program. The visiting journalists had the opportunity to observe U.S. newsrooms operations as well as learn new skills to enhance their journalism careers. The program sought to accomplish the following: to demonstrate U.S. and international journalistic practices and ethics through practical, hands-on experience.

Training the Next Generation of Tunisian Media Professionals

Building on the success of the 2014 program, ICFJ will continue hosting a one-year program that allows Tunisian students seeking their master’s degree in journalism the opportunity to train and report in the United States. The participants will learn practical skills to enhance their reporting, meet with experts working in their field of interest and immerse themselves in U.S. culture.

Investigative journalism for Arab journalists

Journalists from across the Arab world have the opportunity to participate in a new online training course on investigative journalism, offered by the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center, in cooperation with the International Center for Journalists.

The course will be held from April 30 to June 10, 2012 and is open to Arab journalists working in print, broadcast and online journalism.

Investigative journalism for Turkish and Armenian journalists

Journalists from Turkey and Armenia have the opportunity to participate in a new online training course on investigative journalism.

The course will be held from July 5 to August 1 and is open to Turkish and Armenian journalists working in print, broadcast and online journalism.

Al Jazeera, ICFJ collaborate on training Arab journalists on investigative and digital journalism

Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center and the International Center for Journalists have collaborated to offer two online training courses in Investigative Journalism and Digital Journalism for Arab journalists.

The two online courses will be open to Arab journalists working in print, broadcast and online journalism.
