Knight International Journalism Fellow Sandra Crucianelli specializes in digital resources and data journalism. One of the problems of advancing data journalism in Latin America is that many of the tools used in data analysis and visualization are available only in English. Knight Fellow Sandra Crucianelli is working to change that. She contacted the creators of Junar, a handy tool that allows users to extract and process data, to explain the impact a Spanish interface of its free version would have on journalists in Latin America. Crucianelli explains why this program and others like it are so important for Spanish speaking journalists.
