The “Bringing Home the World Program: International Reporting Fellowship for Minority Journalists” is run by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). It has supported 89 journalists from around the United States to report on everything from immigration to women’s health from 2011 to 2017. Thirteen of these journalists were part of the “Social Justice Reporting for a Global America Program” in 2013 and 2014. Altogether over 176 stories have been published. This map depicts where the fellows traveled and features their published work.
The fellowships are funded by the Ford Foundation, Scripps Howard Foundation, and Brooks and Joan Fortune Family Foundation. It has also received support from United Airlines and the Samuel I. Newhouse Foundation.
