Support the Whayne Dillehay Internship Program
Today is the birthday of ICFJ's former Senior Vice President Whayne Dillehay, who passed away four years ago.
Whayne Dillehay
Whayne started the internship program to provide opportunities for students to learn about journalism and global affairs. During his time at ICFJ, Whayne mentored young staffers, who started as interns and rose up the ranks. Many still work for ICFJ now.
His legacy continues to have an impact on young lives through the internship program he started. In fact, hundreds of interns have come through our doors. Let me tell you about a few recent successes.

• ICFJ has partnered with The Mission Continues to help American war veterans readjust to civilian life through work opportunities. Since January, Joshua Wyly, an 8-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, has worked as an intern in our communications department.
• Last year, we hired former intern Michal Orczyk, a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, as our development associate. He works on our fundraising efforts and assists with the Tsinghua Global Business Journalism program.
• After interning at ICFJ last summer, Forrest Burnson received the Carnegie-Knight News21 journalism fellowship at Arizona State University, where he will produce in-depth multimedia and print stories on a range of topics.
Your contribution in Whayne's name will provide even more students with the opportunity to develop skills and help us promote quality journalism worldwide. It will keep Whayne's memory alive in a very meaningful way.
Warmly,
