Two Books by ICFJ Director Leedom-Ackerman Go Digital
ICFJ Director Joanne Leedom-Ackerman has released digital versions of her novel “The Dark Path to the River” and her short story collection “No Marble Angels” through the Authors Guild.
The New York Times Book Review called her political thriller “The Dark Path to the River” about strong-minded women and men “particularly successful in building suspense … sensitive and ambitious.”
The Los Angeles Times lauded “No Marble Angels,” whose characters struggle to close distances between each other, as “a valuable philosophical or political acquisition as well as a literary one.”
In addition to her work as a writer, Leedom-Ackerman has been a guiding force at the International Center for Journalists over the past decade.
Throughout her distinguished career, she has also reported for the Christian Science Monitor and taught writing at the City University of New York, Occidental College, and UCLA Extension. She worked in London for PEN International, an organization that campaigns on behalf of writers imprisoned for their work.
