Vote Now for ICFJ Experts on Media Innovation to Speak at SXSW

Aug 152012

If selected for the 2013 South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference in Austin, our panel will highlight the tremendous potential for news innovation in the developing world. The goal: to help leading interactive technology entrepreneurs and developers tap into that potential to advance quality journalism and improve the human condition.

About the panel:

ICFJ’s Sharon Moshavi will interview Knight International Journalism Fellow Justin Arenstein about his experience launching digital news products across Africa and his vision for entrepreneurship in markets that are often overlooked by tech entrepreneurs and innovators in the United States and Western Europe. They will talk about how rapid innovation in technologies such as mobile, Web, big data and social media are disrupting the news landscape in these markets. They also will examine emerging models for entrepreneurs and what it takes to stay on the cutting edge of news in developing-world markets.
