Alexandria Conference

February 15-17, 2010: Alexandria, Egypt

Forty leading journalists from the Arab World, Europe, Indonesia, Pakistan and the United States participated in a conference in Alexandria, Egypt, organized by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). Supported by the United Nations’ Alliance of Civilizations, the conference took place at the New Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the city's national library.




The conference addressed important topics such as reporting on religion, freedom of expression and how media can promote dialogue between different cultures. It offered hands-on workshops on digital innovation and writing high-quality blogs and opinion pieces.
