International Journalism Exchange
Ten foreign editors will spend five weeks in the United States to learn about newspaper management. The program will include a five-day course in Washington, D.C., a month-long newsroom attachment and three days in New York City.

ICFJ brings three journalism students per year to participate in the Scripps Howard Semester in Washington internship program. ICFJ brings one student to Washington for the spring, summer and fall sessions.

Energy and Development for Southern African Media
May 24, 2004 - May 28, 2004
A five-day workshop on energy and development in Botswana. The workshop, supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development, will be held in Botswana's capital city of Gaborone. The Institute of International Education, the International Energy Group, the Department of Media Studies at the University of Botswana, the Media Institute of South Africa are organizing the workshop. The event is designed for 35 reporters, editors, directors and owners of print, radio and television from Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.
