Franlis Alvarez

Accounting Manager

Working closely with the VP of Finance and Administration, Franlis is responsible for all aspects of ICFJ’s accounting, such as developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures and internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reports.

Prior to joining the ICFJ, Franlis worked for the University of Miami, Best Buddies International, Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. and most recently served as the Accounting Manager for the Public Affairs Council.

Franlis holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from the Universidad de Oriente in his native Cuba. He lived in Northern New Jersey and Miami, Florida after moving to the U.S. but now resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and daughter.
