Luisa Pires Luciano
Luisa Pires Luciano is a program assistant with ICFJ’s flagship program, the Knight International Journalism Fellowships. She supports fellows working to design and implement a culture of news innovation and experimentation worldwide.
Pires Luciano is currently a graduate student at Georgetown University, where she is working toward a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution, with a certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies. She recently graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her BA, she studied abroad in Germany and South Korea.
Before joining ICFJ, Pires Luciano worked as a graduate scholar for Georgetown University’s School of Nursing and Health Studies, and as a Programme Division Intern with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). A native of Brazil, she speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
