Transparency Trailblazers: Latin American Reporters Spotlight Crime and Corruption
An ICFJ panel of dogged reporters spoke about the difficulties of doing investigative journalism in Latin America. The panelists included Carmen Aristegui, founder of the news website Aristegui Noticias (Mexico); Ana Carolina Alpírez, editor of Ojoconmipisto.com (Guatemala); Suchit Chávez, investigative reporter for El Salvador's La Prensa Gráfica; and Luis Botello, Senior Program Director for Special Projects at ICFJ.
