  • Connecting "Powerful Women" Journalists Across Latin America

    04/21/2014

Forty women journalists from across Latin America, from writers to designers to developers, gathered in Miami over Easter weekend for learning, hacking and networking during the first U.S. meeting of Chicas Poderosas. The initiative, which means "Powerful Women," was started by ICFJ Knight Fellow Mariana Santos as a way to bring more women into the tech side of the newsroom. The network currently boasts more than 500 members.
