Laura Ungar, the Courier-Journal's medical writer, has been a journalist for 17 years and has won national, regional and local awards for her work in Connecticut, Delaware and Kentucky. She is 38 years old and lives in Louisville with her husband, Stu, 8-year-old son, Aaron, and 5-year-old daughter, Eden. She hopes to embark on a great adventure in India and tell stories that need to be told.
