2015 Photo Auction

In Sharp Focus: A Collection by Top Photojournalists

To honor the work of outstanding photojournalists and to support our programs, the International Center for Journalists has assembled a collection of stunning images for its 2015 Photo Auction. Included are two photos by this year’s honoree Lynsey Addario, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer.

The signed and framed photographs span the gamut of time and emotion. Some capture pivotal events in history, from Bobby Kennedy on the campaign trail in Utah in 1968 to the joyous Obamas at the groundbreaking presidential inauguration in 2009. Other pictures evoke the pleasures and pain in our world today. We witness the unbridled joy of Cuban children splashing in water as well as the sadness of U.S. soldiers carrying a fallen compatriot in Afghanistan. In other striking photos, we see the remnants of a now-devastated Detroit landmark and the stark beauty of Muslim women alone in the desert.

The auction will take place at ICFJ's 2015 Awards Dinner on November 10. Bidding starts at $1,000 and will increase in $500 increments. To place a bid or make an inquiry about the photographs, please contact Holly Koch at hkoch@icfj.org or 202-349-7637. ICFJ is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Your purchase, less the value of goods received, is fully tax-deductible.

ICFJ extends sincere thanks to the participating photographers and to The Associated Press for its generous sponsorship of the 2015 Photo Auction. Proceeds from the sale will be used for innovative programs that use new technologies to advance quality journalism worldwide.
