Lydia Antonio-Vila is a Program Assistant responsible for providing support to various ICFJ programs around the globe, including work in Sri Lanka where she helps with finances, logistics, content, and activities. Prior to joining ICFJ, she worked as an Intern on AFP’s social media and as a field reporter for the Fairfax County Times newspaper. She’s a strong supporter of local journalism and is interested in storytelling that highlights issues in underrepresented communities. Antonio-Vila is passionate about the exchange of culture, learning new languages, and traveling.
Antonio-Vila lived most of her life in Rota, Spain, and is fluent in Spanish. She attended George Mason University, where she received a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Global Affairs.
