As the Data Management Analyst, Sarah Little is responsible for the maintenance, recovery and analysis of ICFJ’s online databases. She also manages ICFJ’s social media analytics in a way that enables the organization to make more data-driven decisions.
Little is currently a Master’s candidate at The American University, where she studies Data Science with a concentration in Applied Public Policy.
Seeing how transparency in data can lead to real government and policy change sparked her interest in data journalism, which led her to join the ICFJ team in 2019. She believes that holding the media to the highest standards of transparency and reporting the truth is what strengthens a society and provides for government accountability.
Little has always had a passion for the work of nonprofits and likes to spend her free time volunteering and mentoring in the greater DC metro area. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life to a broad audience.
