We deepen understanding on issues of vital importance.

Each year, ICFJ embeds scores of international journalists in U.S. newsrooms, where they build lasting partnerships and exchange skills. U.S. journalists have the opportunity to go abroad, reporting under-covered stories and bringing international insights to their home audiences. These efforts not only improve coverage  they help to reduce stereotypes among journalists and the audiences they reach.

A Journey of Shared Discovery for Russian and American Journalists

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) invited young journalists from Russia to take part in the “Journey of Shared Discovery for Russian and American Journalists” exchange program. Fourteen journalists, who were selected in competition, came to the United States for a program from Tuesday, May 17, to Monday, June 6. Applicants needed to speak English.

Mike O'Connor Scholarship for Mexican Journalists

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) invites Mexican journalists living in Mexico to apply for the Mike O’Connor Scholarship for Investigative Journalism. This scholarship, financed by the United States Embassy in Mexico, is dedicated to the memory of Mike O’Connor, American investigative journalist who worked tirelessly to protect Mexican journalists as part of his work for the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

Russia-U.S. Young Media Professionals Program

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) invites young, English-speaking journalists from Russia’s regions to take part in the “Russia-U.S. Young Media Professionals Program.” Eleven journalists, who will be selected in competition, will come to the United States for a program from Feb. 9 to 27, 2015.
