News Corp Media Fellowship for Indian Journalists

ICFJ will bring two Indian journalists to Washington, D.C., and to the News Corp headquarters in New York. The selected journalists, News Corp Fellows, will spend a month in the United States, primarily at the News Corp headquarters, learning the key elements of a digital newsroom, from integration to product development to video production.

Journalists, editors and newsroom leaders are welcome to apply.

To complement the four-week program at News Corp headquarters, ICFJ will design a three-day orientation program in Washington, D.C. The News Corp Fellowship will include sessions on digital tools, social media, data journalism and visualization as well as meetings with newsroom managers and experts on digital business models. The orientation will also feature cultural site visits to notable Washington landmarks as well as a trip to the Newseum.

Participants arrive in DC: September 13.
Orientation in DC: September 14, 15 and 16. They leave for NYC on the evening of the 16th.
Attachment phase in NYC: September 19 – October 13.
Participants go back to India: October 14.
