Adriana Sanchez

Adriana Sanchez grew up in the Arizona/Mexico border, her experiences in this complex and unique region of the world developed her passion and commitment to journalism as a way to bring different perspectives and create discussion between individuals.

In 2005 she was named the Latina Journalist of the Year for her coverage of undocumented high-school students joining the army to obtain legal status in the U.S. Currently she resides in Albuquerque NM where she attends the University of New Mexico and works as an independent bilingual journalist. She is expected to graduate with a Masters in Community Health Education and Policy December 2014.
