ICFJ Professional Fellows from the U.S., Summer 2014

“Unlocking the Economic Potential of Digital Media” is an international exchange program managed by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) funded by the U.S. State Department Professional Fellows Program. The exchange program brings 30 Professional Fellows from the Middle East and North Africa to the United States for four weeks to learn leading-edge practices in outstanding digital media institutions in the United States. Ten Americans from those institutions visit the MENA fellows’ homelands for a two-week tour of digital media institutions organized by ICFJ’s local partners including Mundiapolis University in Morocco, Hiber for Training and Technology in Jordan, Impact Hub Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and Sirdab Lab in Kuwait. The program’s objectives are to help the MENA fellows create new business models for digital media and to foster friendships and professional partnerships between all participants.
