Ellie Fleming

I work to support proposal development for ICFJ's New Initiatives team. I assist with developing, researching, and drafting proposals, and also help with organization and database management. I joined ICFJ to support freedom of the press, a culture of strong civil society, and of course, journalists who are changing the world through their work.
My background: I graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in International Relations and Latin American & Iberian Studies, with a minor in Spanish. In college, I worked as a policy researcher concentrating on local K-12 education reform in Delaware. I have also worked in international human rights, primarily focusing on countering shrinking civic space for activism and the prevention of violence against women and children.
