Ellie Fleming

Development Manager

I support ICFJ’s fundraising efforts through proposal development – including research, grant writing, budgeting, and database management and organization. I joined ICFJ to support freedom of the press, a culture of strong civil society, and of course, journalists who are changing the world through their work.

My background: I graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in International Relations and Latin American & Iberian Studies, with a minor in Spanish. In college, I worked as a policy researcher concentrating on local K-12 education reform in Delaware. I have also worked in international human rights, primarily focusing on countering shrinking civic space for activism and the prevention of violence against women and children, before joining ICFJ in 2021.

Ask me about: grant writing, research, women’s soccer, and music.
