Reflections on American Unity by Brooks Kraft

Campaign Rally

“When you think of campaigns or presidents, flags help to unite and bring people together,” Brooks Kraft noted. That was especially the case at a 2006 midterm election rally attended by President George W. Bush. Rather than shoot a giant flag from the front at an Arkansas airport hangar, Kraft went backstage and focused on the Americans seen through the stars and stripes. “I love the way the silhouettes fit in that one stripe of the flag.”
