Cesar Guillermo Velarde Castillo

News Director

Guatemalan, curious about everything and believer that objectivity is the lost rule of humanity. In an era of misinformation, I was born as a journalist at age 26 after walking a path in the life of the office worker. A life that I gave up eleven years ago. Today I dedicate myself to what I dreamed of since I was a child. I dedicate myself to the radio. I consider myself a lucky person in life since for eleven years I have not worked a single day of my life, I have dedicated myself to what I love to do, the generation of content. I attended a college that allowed me to learn a second language, English. I had the opportunity to study a career related to the media, communication sciences. Life gave me the gift of being able to obtain a  master's degree in business administration and a  postgraduate degree in marketing and  I  am currently studying for a  master's degree in digital marketing and digital business.  But my greatest pride is getting up every morning and sharing with Guatemala through the radio. I am currently the news director and main host of an information system called La Red Noticias. We broadcast on FM, we broadcast on TV in simulcast and I connect to Guatemala every morning presenting an informative magazine where I address the most relevant issues of Guatemalan politics, the economy, and the country's social challenges. It is a unique experience every morning. That is why every day I say this is how Guatemala wakes up.
