Daniel Lopez Barboza
Daniel Lopez is an International Relations student and a dedicated advocate for community empowerment and social impact. He is best known as the Director of Diario Mirador, a leading digital news platform in Costa Rica's Central Pacific region. With over seven years of experience in addressing community issues and providing valuable data and information to government officials and businesses, Daniel has emerged as a respected leader in his field. His commitment to amplifying the voices of rural and coastal communities through Diario Mirador reflects his passion for democracy.
In addition to his role at Diario Mirador, Daniel serves as a Board Member for the Chamber of Commerce in Quepos and the Youth City Council of Quepos, also representing the community in the National Youth Assembly of Costa Rica. He has been instrumental in fostering partnerships and initiatives aimed at connecting different sectors and developing educational, cultural and sports programs. Daniel's dedication to community development and his ability to navigate challenges with resilience and integrity have earned him recognition, including selection for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative by the US State Department back in 2022.
