Diego Delfino

Diego Delfino is a 2018 Professional Fellow from Latin America with ICFJ.

After a season reporting the news with a Skeletor figure via Snapchat and using Rage Against the Machine’s music as an intro and outro without Morello’s consent, Diego decided to graduate the concept from ultramodern and super-niche to not-so-hip-but-“hey-there’s-an- audience” via Facebook. He played with two ideas. The first was “Retro” (yesterday’s news ... today!!), and the other was “Zeitgeist!” (OK, I will read all the news for you and deliver to your mail a sassy interpretation that you might end up enjoying). He also launched a mailing list called “Las Noticias de Ayer... Hoy.” Guess what? People liked it. A lot. Less than a year later the mailing list carried an even wider project: how about a Netflix website but… for the news? Behold: Delfino.Cr. And we are just getting started!
