Giovana Girardi

Giovana Girardi is a journalist who has focused on covering science and the environment since 2002. She was a reporter for Estadão, co-founding editor of Unesp Ciência Magazine, a reporter for Folha de S. Paulo, assistant editor for Scientific American magazine and editor for Galileu magazine. Her most recent impactful work was the narrative podcast Tempo Quente, by Rádio Novelo, which launched in 2022. In eight episodes, they unravel the lobbyists and political and economic forces that have been acting ˙for years in Brazil in opposition to the fight against climate change. She led the reporting, investigation and presentation of the podcast.
