Jade Drummond

Jade Drummond is a digitial journalist based in Brazil. She is also a strategy manager at Núcleo Jornalismo - a data-driven website based in Brazil that investigates and analyzes the impact of social media and big tech in society.

Her prior work experience involves a diversified international background, focused on communication strategy, community and social media management, corporate communications and news reports. She also has held leadership positions in NGOs.

She is currently responsible for managing different projects developed by Núcleo, such as BotPonto, a bot created to scan YouTube videos to assist in the fight against disinformation during the 2022 Brazilian elections. She was also the winner of the top prize for Innovation and Experimentation in the Cláudio Weber Abramo Data Journalism Award.

She graduated from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Brazil) with a journalism degree in 2016 and completed her postgraduate education in contemporary journalistic production and practices from the Cásper Líbero College (Brazil) in 2018.
