Luisa García Tellez

Luisa Garcia Tellez is a Peruvian investigative journalist. Her work focuses on the impact of financial services on consumers' quality of life. Very early in her career, she was part of the award-winning Swiss Leaks and Panama Papers projects.

Garcia Tellez co-leads 'Where's My Pension?', an award-winning cross-border investigation into how the pension funds of workers from nine Latin American countries are invested. This investigation was awarded the 2022 Trace Prize for Investigative Reporting by the Trace Foundation and the 2022 Journalistic Excellence Award in data journalism by the Inter-American Press Association. She also received the 2022 Breakthrough Journalism Runner-Up Award from the Pulitzer Center because of her role in 'Where's My Pension?'.

Garcia Tellez holds a master's degree in accounting from The London School of Economics. She is a graduate and undergraduate journalism lecturer. She is also author of 'Háblame de tus fuentes' (2017), a book written about the role of ethics when using human sources in the journalism field.
