I’m Sara Estela Carranza Martínez a girl born in a small town in Olancho, a department of Honduras. I was a girl with few opportunities, but the ones I had I took and here I continue to fight to achieve my goals. Now I like to promote new ideas, I read and write every day. I’m a journalist for the Economic section of the newspaper EL HERALDO and also for the magazine Dinero & Negocios. I have more than six years of experience in economic journalism and before this job I worked for a television channel. In my current job I write daily news about economics, banking and finance. I also write investigative reports that promote changes for the economic and social development of Honduras. I also do financial education topics for our readers. I have covered the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the International Trade Organization, among others. I have taken courses on international trade; coverage with ethics and responsibility; science and media; investigative journalism methodologies and techniques for reporting on poverty.
