Sergio Mendoza

Sergio Mendoza is an investigative journalist based in Bolivia. He mainly reports on the environment and economy. Recently, he has published stories about the plunder of Bolivian gold by foreign companies, and the mercury pollution in urban and rural areas.
Mendoza writes for various media outlets, such as Bloomberg, Los Tiempos and La Nube. He is recipient of the Chevening Scholarship to study investigative reporting in the United Kingdom, through which he earned a master's degree in investigative journalism from the University of London in 2019.
