In light of recent revelations, ICFJ’s Board of Directors has unanimously revoked the 2016 Founders Award for Excellence in Journalism to Charlie Rose. His acknowledged conduct violates the essence of this award, given to “a journalist with a long-time commitment to the highest standards of the profession.” ICFJ is committed to helping journalists advance in their careers, and our award winners must set an example for them.
