ICFJ Calls for Immediate Release of Egyptian Blogger

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) calls for the immediate release of our 2007 Knight International Journalism Award winner, Wael Abbas. Abbas is a prominent blogger who exposed police brutality and other human rights violations. His work led to the arrest of police officers whose abuses were shown in videos he posted. We urge the Egyptian government to free him so that he can continue his important work.
