Jessica Sparks

Instructor, Multimedia Journalism

Jessica Sparks is an instructor of multimedia journalism at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA. She teaches news writing, scriptwriting and design for multimedia. Sparks will be a fellow at The Wall Street Journal. Before moving to Savannah State, she was the Webmaster for BlufftonToday.com, a subsidiary of the Savannah Morning News. Sparks also has taught journalism at Ball State University in Muncie, IN, and has worked as a Web developer. Previously, she was a reporter for The Herald Bulletin. She also has written for publications such as The Island Packet/Beaufort Gazette, Indianapolis Monthly and Hilton Head Monthly. Sparks has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in digital storytelling from Ball State University.
