Since 2012, Mattos has worked as a reporter for the daily newspaper O Tempo. At O Tempo, Mattos covers stories related to health, science, technology, behavior, education, international relations and international politics. In 2013, Mattos was sent to Rio de Janeiro to cover Pope Francis’ visit for World Youth Day. Mattos previously worked as a journalist for the newspapers Hoje em Dia and Belo Horizonte, and as a coordinator at Com Você Comunicação, a communications agency. Mattos writes about ecological and sustainable products on her blog “Moda Verde.”

Mattos received a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2018 and a MBA in strategic communications and branding in 2013 from the University Center of Belo Horizonte.
